The Daily Pickle

In this episode we look at the Online Bible Greek Lexicon definition for the word “baptize/baptized” (Strong’s number G907). A very clear example of its meaning is found in a Greek recipe for making pickles. Though it is a natural example, it directs our attention to the greater reality and finality of the new birth. Greater than the impossibility of a pickle to revert back to being a cucumber again, it is utterly impossible for one who is born again to go back to the condition of death (before new birth); to what was, what no longer is, times past, etc. We also look at the cleansing of the cup where mankind can only clean the outside, but not the inside. The vessel (the soul) is once and forever made clean once Christ is present in that soul at the moment of new birth. The Wise Men

Eternal Salvation for All

In this episode we look at The Salvation that God has provided for all mankind in His Son Jesus Christ. We also see that though God’s Salvation is offered to all, not all accept and receive it. To have such a Salvation one must enter in through The Door (Who Christ Himself is) to be Born Again. The two main passages of scripture that we consider are Genesis 2-3 and Exodus 12. In Genesis 2-3 we see how sin and death entered into the world and how that the soul of man came into that state / that condition of death and it’s consequences. The context is Adam and Eve, and the garden of Eden. All mankind from that moment onward are born in that condition of sin and death. In Exodus 12 we see a picture of God providing The only Way of Salvation from such a state that holds the soul captive. The context is the children of Israel who are slaves in Egypt and the Passover Lamb being their only Deliverance, their only Salvation from such a state of bondage. Confessing our Ignorance and Impotence in Knowing Christ

In this episode we see how that it requires The Holy Spirit for Man to know Christ. It is completely impossible for Man (even the one who is Born Again) to know Christ apart from The Holy Spirit. The passages for our text are Luke 3:21-22 and John 1:29-34 with the baptism of Jesus. We also look at John 16:13 where Jesus Himself declares the work of The Spirit of Truth, which is to guide unto all Truth Who Christ Himself is. With John the baptist we also see a spiritual order of coming to knowing Christ: 1- Confessing our ignorance of knowing Christ (Jn 1:31); 2- The Holy Spirit drawing our attention and placing it, and keeping it, upon Christ (Jn 1:32); 3- Seeing Jesus (Jn 1:34); 4- Confessing our testimony: this is The Son of God (Jn1:34). The Greatness of Christ

The Greatness of Christ In this episode we consider The Greatness of Christ, and how God Himself desires to make His Son’s Greatness known unto the believer. At the moment of New Birth, we have no clue of The Great Gift of God Whom we have received. It is The Father’s good pleasure to make This One known unto His people. We see this in the testimony with Joshua and the children of Israel coming into the land (Joshua 3:7). *Also, I misspoke at around 3min into the sharing, what I meant to say was “with God all things are possible” —we know this! The Purpose of the Scriptures

In this episode we look at The Purpose of the Scriptures as well as what is NOT The Purpose of the Scriptures. We see how the Born Again believer can approach the Scriptures (the Bible) with some other goal / purpose than the Scriptures (the Bible) clearly makes known. Jesus Himself gives the very intent and purpose of the Scriptures in John 5:39-40. This intent and purpose can only be realized in one's heart and soul by a miracle of God.
